Created a series of video for the popular mobile MOBA game Arena of Valor. This was for the AWC which was the Arena of Valor World Cup.

I contributed to the editing and made several of the motion graphic elements. I then had an assistant who put it all together.

Halo Media Works - 2017

This project was a series of 5 short films (4 of them released) that were meant for the Care Bears’ Youtube channel. At the start of the project, I was tasked with preparing assets needed for the production. Supervising and defining the technicals of the character rigs and how the characters would function. Then I oversaw the creation.

Once that was completed. All assets were handed over to the students of Cleveland Institute of Art. An entire class was dedicated to the production of the films directed by Anthony Scalmato. At the start of the production, I defined the production pipeline and production roles. As the shorts went on, I was consulted on about the production and the technical execution of the project.

The still renders of the characters were made by myself and were used in promotional materials.

2017

A cinematic of a mobile game our studio created of the same name. This cinematic trailer was meant to be a promo for the game while also being a showpiece for what our studio is capable of. I flew out to our production facility in Mumbai, India and directed the spot in person. I had only three weeks to direct this project. The majority of the pre-production and production completed during this time. I contributed to nearly every part of the production to some degree as well as defined most of the technical, pipeline and scheduling.

Halo Media Works 2018

Plate Envy is a web-based platform that helps guide restaurant owners to find a table layout for their business. After a series of questions, a table layout is recommended, and the user can change out patterns and SKUs and then when satisfied they can order samples.

All the models are 3D rendered server side using the Unreal Engine.

My role was to produce roughly 500 3D models in a time span of about two months. We used a combination of 3D modeling from scratch and set up an entire 3D Scanning process to receive models, prep them for scanning, and then clean up and out but them for a PBR pipeline using Substance.

Halo Media Works 2017

This project as to developed alongside our Monster Munchies trailer and went through several iterations and designs.

Initially, it was meant to be an action sequence that featured realistic space battles. But after playing around with visual development that promptly changed to be something along the lines of, “A fake cinematic trailer of a 1980’s Arcade shooter, but still having 1980’s aesthetics.”

Since I was unable to direct the project in person, the project has been shelved until further notice.

Halo Media Works - Halo Renders
2016-Present (Ongoing)

Halo Renders is the Architectural and Product Visualization branch of Halo Media Works. We make this dedicated site to make it easier to find information for potential clients seeking these types of services. I built the e-commerce site and pipeline and thus far overseen over 500 renderings created for over 100 clients since we launched. I was responsible for handling everything from QA, staff training, technical direction, artistic direction, marketing, website maintenance, and outreach.

Halo Media Works 2017-2018

For this project, we were responsible for doing model revisions and some character models from scratch. There were over 200 characters, and they were based off the popular anime series, Fairy Tail. The end output was for the 3D models to be output as sprites.

Halo Media Works 2016-Present

I am the Creative Director of Halo Media Works. We are a CGI and Animation studio headquartered in Cleveland, OH, with production out of Mumbai. Alongside my Art Director at the local studio, we manage and direct the team remotely. Occasionally visiting in person for special projects. Together we come up with creative projects to train the team, and I develop and give technical notes and develop production pipelines and methods for the team to use.

In addition to the Creative Direction. I am also responsible for the Marketing, Adverting, Branding, SEO, Website, Social, and Project Management.

All the projects here were developed internally to show off the skills of the studio, while other projects on the site were just a sampling of the diverse project we did and was capable of.

Halo Media Works 2017

This project was for a social campaign for an online therapy site. The social campaign was to encourage individuals to overcome their depression by using their services. We produced a total of 20 illustrations. The client wanted diverse styles, so we implemented outside resources to achieve this. I managed all the remote artists as well as wrangling all the necessary paperwork.

A 15 second TV commercial, print ads, and LED Billboard advertisements for Mont Surfaces.

Photonic Studios 2014-2015

This was an ongoing project to visualize all the interior designs for the remodels of the PWC offices. I worked closely with the team of interior designers to help show what their plans would actually end up looking like to eventually be approved by their client. Ended up making over 100 renderings for the duration of the project.

Photonic Studios 2014

These LED Ribbon ribbon ads were for the Microsoft Ad campaigns for Xbox One and Surface for all NFL stadiums. One of the ads was even used for national television. The challenge was to set up an after effects file catering to all the different sized LED boards in the stadiums across the country. Some were 1600x40 pixels. Some were 20000x20 pixels. I was able to set up the organized the project file so that 1 change would affect all the other comps. So it made changes easy and quick.

I even got to animate the Xbox Ball logo!

For this project, we were to visualize the company’s mascot, the Inkling, to use in various branding materials. We rendered several poses, but we also did creative and proposed several pitches for animated bumpers. The walk cycle was part of that pitch.

For CES 2015

This was a trade show animation for Boogie Board, which is a digital ink tablet. We received their CAD models, and I organized and animated them in dozens of different ways. I set up the file for the products to be swapped out in different ways so we could quickly mock up different videos and edit them for approval before we rendered them out.

I organized the scene files and implemented the use of Google Earth to pull iconic buildings from around Ohio and put them together. Was cool to make something to represent Ohio growth in a nationally recognized magazine.

I animated some of the dragons in the popular mobile game “Dragonvale." Although these are 2D animations, they were done in Maya. I only did the animation and had about 2 days to deliver. I did the ‘Tiedian’ Dragon and the ‘OrTreat’ Dragon.
